How to Harvest Pomegranate Seeds

Do you want to know how to get all those juicy seeds out of your pomegranate? This method is easy and it prevents you from squirting the precious juice all over yourself.

Slice off the crown end, then score the rind from top to bottom 5 or 6 times around the fruit.

Immerse the fruit in a bowl of water and soak for 5-10 minutes.

Hold the fruit under water (this prevents the juice from splattering) and break sections apart. Separate seeds from the rind and membrane. Seeds will sink to the bottom of the bowl; rind and membrane will float.

Skim off and discard the rind and membrane. Drain the seeds and pat dry.

Pomegranate juice is easily removed from surfaces with lemon juice.
